Amen, Amen Aleluya. Es una confirmación profética felicidades, Conocerás la verdad, y la verdad te hará libre. " (Jn 8:32) Evangelio de Juan La Verdad os Hará Libres (8:31-36) INTRODUCCIÓN 1. Una de las declaraciones más conocidas de Jesús es esta: "y conoceréis la verdad, y la verdad os hará libres." (Jn 8:32) 2. Hoy está popular declaración es con frecuencia usada en un contexto político... a. Refiriéndose a la libertad de la opresión política b. Enalteciendo el valor de la prensa libre, y la libertad de expresión 3. Si bien tales virtudes son notables, Jesús tenía algo más en mente... a. La libertad de algo más serio que la opresión política b. La verdad que solo viene de una fuente [Examinemos el contexto en el cual es encontrada la declaración de Jesús (en este caso, Jn 8:31-36). De una lectura cuidadosa de ella notamos primero...] I. LA LIBERTAD DE LA QUE HABLA JESÚS A. LA LIBERTAD DEL PECADO... 1. Los judíos malinterpretaron a Jesús – Jn 8:33 a. Ellos declaraban no haber estado nunca en esclavitud (en este caso, en opresión política) b. ¡Una declaración curiosa en vista de la presente ocupación romana, y en el pasado la cautividad egipcia, asiria y babilónica! 2. Jesús explica el contexto de Su declaración – Jn 8:34-36 a. Él está hablando sobre la esclavitud del pecado b. Él ofrece la libertad de la esclavitud del pecado B. LA ESCLAVITUD DEL PECADO... 1. Hay la culpa del pecado a. Una culpa compartida por todos – Rom 3:23; 1 Jn 1:8 b. Aun si alguien ha cometido un solo pecado (¡si tal cosa fuera posible!) – Sant 2:10-11 2. Hay el poder del pecado a. Jesús describe que el cometer pecado lo hace a uno esclavo del pecado – Jn 8:34 b. Pablo ilustra el dilema de alguien esclavizado al poder del pecado – Rom 7:14-24 [¡Más opresivo que cualquier esclavitud física es la esclavitud espiritual que viene de ser un pecador! En tanto que el hombre puede legislar políticamente con libertad, sólo Jesús provee de la libertad de la esclavitud del pecado. El como hace esto puede ser visto mientras examinamos...] II. LA VERDAD DE LA QUE HABLA JESÚS A. SU DOCTRINA... 1. La verdad de la que habla Jesús es Su propia palabra o doctrina – Jn 8:31-32 2. La cual ofrece la libertad de la esclavitud del pecado a. De la culpa del pecado por medio de la sangre de Cristo – ver Mt 26:28; Ef 1:7 b. De el poder del pecado por medio del Espíritu de Dios – ver Rom 8:1-2,12-13 B. LA CUAL DEBEMOS OBEDECER... 1. Para ser en verdad Sus discípulos – Jn 8:31; ver Luc 6:46 2. Para ser libres del pecado – Rom 6:17-18; ver Heb 5:9 C. INICIA CON EL BAUTISMO EN CRISTO... 1. En el cual somos crucificados en Cristo – Rom 6:3-4a,6a 2. En el cual morimos al pecado, siendo liberados del pecado – Rom 6:6b,7,11a a. Su culpabilidad removida por la sangre de Jesús –Hech 2:38; 22:16 b. Su poder debilitado por el don del Espíritu Santo – Hech 2:38; Ef 3:16 3. En el cual nos levantamos a novedad de vida, libres ahora para servir a Dios – Rom 6:4c,11b-14,17-18 a. Con la ayuda de la limpieza continua de la sangre de Jesús – 1 Jn 1:9 b. Con la ayuda del Espíritu poniendo a la muerte los deseos de la carne – Rom 8:12-13 D. CONTINUA PERMANECIENDO EN SU PALABRA... 1. Como es establecido por Jesús – Jn 8:31 2. Como es reiterado por Juan – 2 Jn 9 CONCLUSIÓN 1. Tal vez podamos apreciar mejor ahora la importancia de la Gran Comisión... a. Hacer discípulos bautizándolos – Mt 28:19 b. Hacer discípulos enseñándoles guardar todo lo que Cristo les mandó – Mt 28:20 2. Porque al llevar adelante la Gran Comisión en todo el mundo... a. ¡Ofrecemos la verdad que realmente hace a alguien libre! b. Libre del pecado, ¡la carga que realmente oprime a la humanidad! ¿Está Usted bajo la pesada carga del pecado, tanto en su culpa como en su poder? Responda entonces a la invitación que extiende el Salvador: "Venid a mí todos los que estáis trabajados y cargados, y yo os haré descansar. Llevad mi yugo sobre vosotros, y aprended de mí, que soy manso y humilde de corazón; y hallaréis descanso para vuestras almas; porque mi yugo es fácil y ligera mi carga." (Mt 11:28-30) Acepte Su llamado al discipulado ("llevad mi yugo...aprended de mí"), recordando Su promesa en nuestro texto: "Así que, si el Hijo os libertare, seréis verdaderamente libres".
