La Pasión de Jesús:
El juicio ante Pilato
La sentencia dada por el tribunal de los judíos debía ser revisada y ejecutada por el procurador romano Poncio Pilato. Bastante temprano llevaron a Jesús hasta el pretorio, y Pilato escuchó las acusaciones: lo acusaban de alborotar al pueblo, oposición a pagar los impuestos al César y que se proclamaba el Cristo Rey.
Pilato interrogó a Jesús acerca de estos cargos. Sobre si era rey, le respondió:
-Soy rey, pero mi reino no es de este mundo.
El procurador vio que era inocente y as! lo manifestó. En ese momento acudió la turba a pedir el indulto que, según costumbre, se daba con ocasión de la Pascua. Pilato les dio a elegir entre un asesino llamado Barrabás o Jesús. Los príncipes de los sacerdotes incitaron a la turba a que gritara:
-¡Haz morir a éste, y suéltanos a Barrabás!
-¿Qué hago con Jesús que se llama el Cristo?
-¡Crucificarle, crucificarle!
-Yo no hallo en él causa de muerte; lo castigaré y lo soltaré.
-¡Crucificarle, crucifícarle!
Pilato mandó soltar a Barrabás y que azotaran a Jesús. En el patio lo desnudaron y lo torturaron a latigazos; tejieron una corona de espinos y se la clavaron en la cabeza; le echaron encima de las espaldas un trapo rojo como manto real, y entre las manos le pusieron una caña comocetro.
El juicio ante Anás y Caifás
El viejo Anás había sido Sumo Sacerdote. Astuto tejedor de intrigas, consiguió que le sucediera en el cargo su yerno Caifás. Para adular al temido viejo, llevaron a Jesús ante él antes que a nadie.
Anás preguntó a Jesús sobre sus discípulos y sobre su doctrina. Jesús se limitó a contestar:
-Yo siempre he hablado en público. No me preguntes a mí; pregunta a los que me han oído; ellos saben lo que he dicho.
Anás lo envió atado a Caifás que lo estaba esperando con los miembros del senado.
Se puso en pie y con solemne autoridad le preguntó:
-Dinos bajo juramento si tú eres el Hijo de Dios.
-Yo soy. Y os digo más: veréis al Hijo del Hombre sentado a la derecha de Dios Todopoderoso, y venir en las nubes del cielo.
Caifás se rasgó las vestiduras y dijo:
-Todos lo habéis oído. ¡Ha blasfemado! ¿Qué decís?
-Reo es de muerte -sentenció la asamblea.
Entrada triunfal en Jerusalén
Jesús descansó el sábado en Betania. A la mañana siguiente salió hacia Jerusalén y empezó a subir la ladera este del monte de los Olivos. Cerca de allí estaba la aldea de Betfagé, Jesús mandó que le trajeran un pollino. Aparejaron el animal con sus mantos y Jesús montó sobre él. La gente que subía a la fiesta de la Pascua empezó a vitorear:
-¡Hossana al Hijo de David!
Muchos se quitaban los mantos y los extendían en el ea no por donde pasaba Jesús; otros cortaban ramas de olivo, las esparcían a su paso. Cuando apareció a la vista Jesús y empezaron a descender, creció el griterío:
-¡Bendito el Rey que viene en nombre del Señor! ¡'y el Mesías! ¡Paz en los cielos! ¡Hosanna!
Algunos fariseos que estaban entre la gente le dijeron
-Maestro, reprende a tus discípulos.
-Os digo que si éstos hoy callan, las piedras darán voces,
Jesús, contemplando a Jerusalén, lloró por ella. Mientras tanto corrió la noticia por la ciudad de que era Jesús el llegaba, y una gran muchedumbre de los que habían ver para la fiesta de Pascua salió a su encuentro agitando palmas y ramas de olivo, vitoreándolo.
Así entró por las calles de Jerusalén y toda la ciudad( conmocionó. Llegó al templo, donde curó a los enfermos le presentaron. Los niños contagiados por el entusiasme los mayores también empezaron a gritar en el templo:
-¡Hosanna al Hijo de David!
La Ultima Cena
Cuando Judas salió del cenáculo dijo Jesús:
-Ahora es glorificado el Hijo del Hombre y Dios en él. Hijos míos, poco tiempo me queda de estar con vosotros.
Concluida la cena, Jesús tomó uno de los panes, dio gracias, bendiciéndolo y luego lo repartió diciendo:
-Tomad y comed, éste es mi cuerpo que se entrega por vosotros. Siempre que hagáis esto hacedIo en memoria mía..
Luego tomó el cáliz con vino, dio también gracias y tras bendecirlo como el pan, lo entregó, diciendo:
-Bebed todos de él, porque ésta es mi sangre del Nuevo Testamento, que será derramada por muchos para la remisión de los pecados.
Jesús les dio un nuevo mandamiento:
-Amaos los unos a los otros como yo os he amado
A Pedro que habla hecho alarde de seguirle hasta la muerte, le dijo que antes del canto del gallo lo negarla más de tres veces. Alzando los ojos al cielo oró diciendo:
-Padre, llegó la hora. Te he dado a conocer a los hombres para que tengan vida eterna. Te ruego por éstos que me diste, y por todos los que han de creer en mí por su predicación. Que el amor con que me has amado esté en ellos.
¡Este es un ministerio profetíco!

- This man to death, and release to us Barabbas!
- What do I do with Jesus who is called Christ?
- Crucify him, crucify him!
'I find no cause of death in him, punish him and release him.
- Crucify him, crucify him!
Pilate release Barabbas and scourged Jesus. In the yard he was stripped naked and tortured with whips, wove a crown of thorns and nailed in the head, threw him over his back like a red rag royal mantle, and between his hands a reed comocetro.
The trial before Annas and Caiaphas

Triumphal entry into Jerusalem
Jesus rested on the Sabbath at Bethany. The next morning came to Jerusalem and began to climb the eastern slope of Mount of Olives. Nearby was the village of Bethphage, Jesus commanded them to bring a colt. Saddled the animal with their coats and Jesus sat on it. The people who went to the feast of Easter began to cheer:
- Hosanna to the Son of David!
