But when her owners saw that they had gone their hope of profit, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace before the authorities.
20
By presenting to the judges, said: - These men, being Jews, exceedingly trouble our city!
21
They preach customs not lawful for us to receive or practice, being Romans!
22
And the people rose up together against them. And the judges were stripped of their clothes and sent violently beat them.
23
After beating them with many blows, they threw them into prison and ordered the jailer to keep with confidence.
24
When he received such an order, put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.
25
As at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners heard them.
26
Then suddenly came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were unfastened.
27
When the jailer woke and saw open the doors of the jail, took out his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped.
28
But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying: - Do not do no evil, for we are all here!
29
Then he called for lights and pitched in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.
30
Taking them out, he said: - Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31
They said: - Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, thou and thy house.
32
And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and all who were in his house.
33
In that hour of night, took them and washed their wounds from the flogging. He was baptized at once, and all his family.
34
Brought them into his house, I set the table and rejoiced with all his house, having believed in God.
35
When it was day, the magistrates sent the officers to say: - Release those men.
36
The jailer reported these words to Paul: - The magistrates have sent order that you may be released, now, therefore, come and go in peace.
37
But Paul said: - After publicly beaten us without being convicted, we being Romans, and have cast us into prison, and now, do we throw out on the sly? Well no! Let them come themselves and fetch us out!
38
The officers reported these words to the magistrates, who were afraid to hear that they were Romans.
39
And they went to them and apologized. After removing them, begged them to leave the city.
40
Then, after leaving the prison, entered the house of Lydia: and having seen the brethren, I called and then departed.

Y cuentan los hechos de los Apóstoles que, hubo un Terremotos.
Irán.- Dos pastores cristianos más han sido encarcelados a causa de su fe y "enfrentan un grave peligro", oremos a Dios por sus vidas.

Pero cuando sus amos vieron que se les Había esfumado su esperanza de ganancia, prendieron a Pablo y a Silas y los arrastraron a la plaza, ante las autoridades.
20
Al presentarlos ante los magistrados, dijeron: --¡Estos hombres, siendo Judíos, alborotan nuestra ciudad!
21
¡Predican costumbres que no nos es Lícito recibir ni practicar, pues somos romanos!
22
Entonces el pueblo se Levantó a una contra ellos. Y los magistrados les despojaron de sus ropas con violencia y mandaron azotarles con varas.
23
Después de golpearles con muchos azotes, los echaron en la Cárcel y ordenaron al carcelero que los guardara con mucha seguridad.
24
Cuando éste Recibió semejante orden, los Metió en el calabozo de Más adentro y Sujetó sus pies en el cepo.
25
Como a la medianoche, Pablo y Silas estaban orando y cantando himnos a Dios, y los presos les escuchaban.

Entonces, de repente sobrevino un fuerte terremoto, de manera que los cimientos de la Cárcel fueron sacudidos. Al instante, todas las puertas se abrieron, y las cadenas de todos se soltaron.
27
Cuando el carcelero Despertó y vio abiertas las puertas de la Cárcel, Sacó su espada y estaba a punto de matarse, porque pensaba que los presos se Habían escapado.
28
Pero Pablo Gritó a gran voz, diciendo: --¡No te hagas Ningún mal, pues todos estamos Aquí!

Entonces él Pidió luz y se Lanzó adentro, y se Postró temblando ante Pablo y Silas.
30
Sacándolos afuera, les dijo: --Señores, ¿qué debo hacer para ser salvo?
31
Ellos dijeron: --Cree en el Señor Jesús y Serás salvo, Tú y tu casa.
32
Y le hablaron la palabra del Señor a él, y a todos los que estaban en su casa.
33
En aquella hora de la noche, los Tomó consigo y les Lavó las heridas de los azotes. Y él fue bautizado en seguida, con todos los suyos.

Les hizo entrar en su casa, les puso la mesa y se Regocijó de que con toda su casa Había Creído en Dios.
35
Cuando se hizo de Día, los magistrados enviaron a los oficiales a decirle: --Suelta a esos hombres.
36
El carcelero Comunicó a Pablo estas palabras: --Los magistrados han enviado orden de que Seáis puestos en libertad; ahora, pues, salid e id en paz.
37
Pero Pablo les dijo: --Después de azotarnos Públicamente sin ser condenados, siendo nosotros ciudadanos romanos, nos echaron en la Cárcel; y ahora, ¿nos echan fuera a escondidas? ¡Pues no! ¡Que vengan ellos mismos a sacarnos!

Los oficiales informaron de estas palabras a los magistrados, quienes tuvieron miedo al Oír que eran romanos.
39
Y fueron a ellos y les pidieron disculpas. Después de sacarlos, les rogaron que se fueran de la ciudad.
40
Entonces, después de salir de la Cárcel, entraron en casa de Lidia; y habiendo visto a los hermanos, les exhortaron y luego partieron.
